Howto Howto

So... you think you can write a howto?

This page is for you if you want to contribute a Howto to the site.

Here is your check list:

  1. Make sure your article is complete and through.
  2. Make sure your article is understandable to the average reader (assume 6-8th grade level understanding)
  3. PLEASE spell check your document
  4. Make sure to unclude relevant details (version nummbers, dates, links, references if needed, etc)
  5. Once you have typed up your howto ZIP it up into an archive (details on specifications below)
  6. Send your zip file to me a long with the "take credit data"

 

Article Format Requirements:

  • The zip file must contain ONE file of the following types either clean HTML, DOC, OOD, RTF or TXT
  • The zip file must contain any images required for the howto in either jpg or png format*

CLEAN HTML = HTML with no javascript/css/style sheetsof any kind. Basically what this means is that if I have to clean up the code... unless it is one hell of an article, It will not get posted.

* No Stenography

 

ZIP Requirements:

  • The article must be submitted in a zip file. (No passwords, encryption or anything crazy)
  • The files can be contained within a directory (only one no sub-directories or crazy ness)

 

Take credit for your work

If you want credit for the article include as much of the following information as you want publicly available in your email to me: If you do not include any of this information the article (if published) will be published under the name anonymous. Once an article is published as anonymous I cannot change that, I will endevore to confirm with a sender that this is what they want however, if an article is published this way it will not be changed unless extreme circumstances require it.
